History of Rural Special books available
The first edition of the History of Rural Special School was published for the school’s 60th year anniversary in 2007. Updated editions have been printed each year. The 186-page spiral bound book includes class photos of all graduating classes from 1949 to the present; a list of graduates, faculty, and staff; information about basketball teams and major victories; FFA and FBLA competition winners; history of one-room schools from which the district was formed; selected newspaper articles, etc.

Fox, Arkansas 1905-2005 book available
This 490-page spiral bound book is a compilation of stories, photos, and biographies about families settling the Fox area. (63 surnames are included) The book tells about one-room school houses; churches in the area; list of veterans from the area; community services and family survival skills in the early days. etc. It was published in 2005 in conjunction with the Centennial Celebration of the naming of the Fox Post Office. The book committee of Edna Huddler, Wendell Murray, Angalee Rushing, Rodney Rushing, Alfred Schiefer, Lela Schiefer, and John Sweeney compiled the book and experienced great participation from community members who submitted information.

Fox, Arkansas: The Rest of the Story, Volume II available
This is a 380-page spiral bound book compiled by the Book Committee in 2006. It addresses topics such as essential skills of the early days in the Fox area including midwifery, breaking horses, blacksmithing; necessary tools; interesting stories about food preservation and preparation including bee hunting, collecting wild food, etc.; history of the Fox American Legion post; Meadow Creek Project; local ghost stories; and a homestead map 1850-1930.
